Growing up in an artistic and crafty family, Chris Schulte has been quilting for... a long time. Never one to follow the rules, she began creating her own patterns - and applique technique! - as well as becoming an expert free motion quilter.
An exclusive long armer and active member of her guild, Chris has turned her creative pursuit into a range of patterns - with a scrappy twist - that get people inspired to just quilt!

If you can quilt on a line you can create this wall hanging. Chris will show you how to transfer a quilt design, mark your fabric, and execute this project.

Spend the afternoon learning about the art of quilting free motion feathers. Chris will guide you through learning the basics to feathers that are multi-directional and more involved.

Raw Edge Applique
Come and see how easy and perfectly imperfect this technique is! Chris will show you, step by step, how to choose fabrics, prepare, and sew down the blooms. Students can then go on to create any number of quilts that feature this technique or simply make a piece of cupboard art. These blooms are easy enough for beginners to enjoy!

Blanket Stitch Applique
Learn how to stitch down raw edge appliqué using the blanket stitch. Chris will go through the entire process from fabric and thread selection to machine settings to how to tackle stitching down all of the trouble areas. Students will leave class with the knowledge of this technique and a piece of cupboard art to boot!
